The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and implement safeguarding policies and procedures in line with DFE guidelines.
Provide advice and support to staff on safeguarding matters and child protection.
Liaise with external agencies, including social services and the police, as required.
Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure all safeguarding protocols are followed.
Support students through pastoral care and welfare interventions.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of all safeguarding concerns.
Attend and contribute to safeguarding meetings and training sessions.
Promote a culture of awareness and vigilance across the school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

Proven experience in safeguarding, ideally within an educational setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements.
Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external agencies.
Commitment to safeguarding and child protection best practices.

Preferred

Experience in a school or college environment.
Knowledge of Keeping Children Safe in Education guidelines.
Experience in conducting risk assessments and managing safeguarding cases.
Previous experience in pastoral care or student welfare.
