School Administrator needed at a specialist school in Wilmslow, Cheshire East.

The Opportunity:

As a School Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the school runs efficiently. This is an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, mission-driven institution where every child is valued and supported to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor multiple MIS systems for staff, students, and school operations, including training, data updates, and permissions.
  • Maintain and organize records, attendance data, and equipment logs in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Take detailed minutes of meetings and follow up on action items with relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and produce templates, forms, and resources as directed by the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding process by organizing interviews and providing administrative assistance.
  • Correspond with parents, agencies, and staff while maintaining strict confidentiality and data security standards.
  • Coordinate and support events such as Careers Day, parent evenings, and school open days.
  • Provide front-line administrative support, including reception duties, email management, and visitor coordination.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous administration experience in an educational or similar setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint) and various database systems.
  • High level of organization, time management, and multitasking ability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Discreet, reliable, and committed to maintaining confidentiality.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) environment.
  • Knowledge of school management systems and administrative software.
  • Experience in event coordination or marketing initiatives.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
