The Opportunity:

A School Bus Driver is needed to support the safe and timely transport of students to and from school. This role is essential in maintaining the school’s friendly and professional environment and ensuring the well-being of all pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safe and punctual transport of students to and from school.
  • Maintain a welcoming and friendly atmosphere on the bus at all times.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and school policies.
  • Conduct regular checks on the bus to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Report any incidents or concerns immediately to the appropriate person.
  • Assist with the supervision of students during transit and ensure their comfort and safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and any issues encountered during transport.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Valid bus driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Experience in driving a school bus or similar transport vehicle.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and late afternoons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the safety and well-being of students.

Preferred

  • Previous experience working in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of child passenger safety regulations.
  • Experience with managing student behavior on transport.
