Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the finance and support teams to ensure they meet the needs of the school and its pupils.
  • Implement and maintain clear financial strategies that align with the school’s educational mission and goals.
  • Foster a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement across all support functions.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure operational efficiency and the effective use of resources.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance and budgets to support decision-making and planning.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and financial standards.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to drive strategic initiatives and improve overall school performance.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within an educational setting.
  • Strong financial and strategic leadership skills with a focus on improving educational outcomes.
  • Experience in leading and managing support teams effectively.
  • A track record of driving operational excellence and achieving high standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with all levels of the school community.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school business leadership role within a large or complex school setting.
  • Knowledge of educational policies, regulations, and financial management frameworks.
  • Experience with school improvement and strategic development initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills to inspire and develop staff.
