Summary:

School Business Manager needed to support a school in central Birmingham with strong Christian values and a commitment to leadership development.

The Opportunity:

As a School Business Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an outstanding learning environment by providing exceptional business support to pupils, teachers, and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee financial, HR, business, and premises operations to support the school’s strategic goals.
  • Ensure compliance with Data Protection legislation and maintain a professional office environment.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and support the delivery of high-quality administrative services across the school.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement and manage ICT systems to support day-to-day operations.
  • Provide expert business support to ensure the smooth running of the school’s operations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that align with the school’s mission and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • 5 A*-Cs at GCSE, including English and Maths.
  • Proven experience in management within a public or private sector setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial, HR, business, and/or premises operations.
  • Strong knowledge of ICT administration systems.
  • Understanding of Data Protection legislative requirements.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a school or educational setting.
  • Background in leadership or management development.
  • Experience with multi-academy trust operations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to Christian values and community engagement.
