The Opportunity:
As a School Business Manager, you will play a vital role in leading and managing support services within the school. You will ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment is provided within budget and aligned with strategic goals. This is a key leadership role with significant impact on the school’s operations and culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise support services to ensure they operate efficiently and effectively.
- Oversee the creation and implementation of development plans to drive continual improvement.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of support services in line with strategic objectives.
- Manage delegated budgets and resources with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and inspection frameworks.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and external agencies.
- Promote a safe and inclusive environment that supports the well-being of all students.
- Lead and manage teams to achieve high standards of service and performance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A Management or Professional qualification in a related area, such as a Management Diploma or Finance qualification.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards for education.
- Understanding of current inspection frameworks used by regulatory and statutory bodies.
- Familiarity with safeguarding and legislative procedures for working with children and young people.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to define and achieve high standards in all areas of responsibility.
- Effective team leadership and management skills.
- Ability to assess situations, resolve problems, and make informed decisions.
Preferred
- Experience in managing budgets and financial systems.
- Experience in education or a related field.
- Experience with EBITDA and financial planning processes.
Compensation & Benefits:
