The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the security and safety of the school premises and its occupants.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, order, and functionality of all school buildings and facilities.
  • Assist with the day-to-day running of the school, including the management of keys, access control, and visitor logs.
  • Support the maintenance and upkeep of school equipment, furniture, and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for students and visitors.
  • Monitor and report any issues or incidents promptly to the appropriate personnel.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Provide a friendly and professional service to students, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A clean, current UK driving licence.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic and busy environment.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a caretaking or similar role.
  • Experience with school environments or educational institutions.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Experience in maintenance or building services.
