The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Cleaner to join our team and contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students and staff. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the health and safety of our school, supporting students in achieving high standards and maximising their potential every day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake hygiene duties as directed by the Site Officer / Caretaker.
- Maintain consistently high standards of cleaning across the school.
- Ensure cleaning and maintenance equipment is kept clean, in good condition, and ready for use.
- Report any faults or breakdowns in equipment to the Site Officer / Caretaker promptly.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely after receiving initial training and demonstration.
- Support the school in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for students and staff.
- Follow all health and safety procedures as required.
- Work collaboratively with the Site Team to ensure all areas are maintained to a high standard.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in cleaning or hygiene-related roles.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and afternoons.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures in a school environment.
- Experience with the safe use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
