The Opportunity:

As a school counsellor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students' academic, emotional, and social development. You will provide guidance, support, and resources to help students navigate challenges and achieve their full potential in a dynamic international environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic, emotional, and social support to students of all ages.
  • Offer career guidance and help students explore future pathways.
  • Develop and implement strategies for conflict resolution and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure student success.
  • Support students with special needs through individualised planning and care.
  • Conduct regular assessments and monitor student progress and well-being.
  • Deliver group and individual counselling sessions as required.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student support and interventions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant qualification in counselling, education, or a related field.
  • Experience working with children and young people in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and international environment.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in international schools or overseas education settings.
  • Knowledge of British curriculum and assessment systems.
  • Experience with emotional support, career guidance, and conflict resolution.
  • Familiarity with special needs support and inclusive education practices.
