Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional and confidential counselling support to students, parents, and carers
- Contribute to the safeguarding and promotion of student welfare and personal care
- Work collaboratively with staff to ensure the well-being of all students
- Deliver guidance and advice in line with the school’s Catholic ethos and values
- Support students in personal, social, and emotional development
- Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
- Promote a positive and inclusive school culture
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant qualifications in counselling or a related field
- Experience in providing support to young people in an educational setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to the Catholic ethos and Christian values
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow safeguarding procedures
Preferred
- Experience in school counselling or youth support services
- Knowledge of child development and welfare
- Experience working with diverse communities
- Commitment to continuing professional development
- Experience with pastoral care in a Catholic school setting
