The Opportunity:

As a School Counsellor, you will be a vital part of a school dedicated to nurturing confident, resilient, and well-balanced learners. You will support students’ emotional, social, and behavioural development, while working closely with families and school teams to ensure every student thrives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counselling sessions to support students’ well-being
  • Design and deliver workshops on resilience, well-being, and personal development
  • Offer counselling and guidance sessions for parents/guardians
  • Work closely with Inclusion and Safeguarding teams to support student needs
  • Develop and implement student support and intervention programmes
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records in line with safeguarding policies
  • Monitor student progress and provide appropriate referrals when necessary
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Art, Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field with recognised Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, or a related field
  • Recognised counselling qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an international school setting
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written)
  • Experience delivering workshops, student support programmes, and parental counselling sessions
  • Strong experience working collaboratively with parents
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices
  • Very good knowledge of a wide range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and appropriate intervention strategies

Preferred

  • Experience in a British curriculum setting
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
