The Opportunity:

We are seeking a School IT Technician to join a dynamic team and support the school's growing technology needs. This role is essential in ensuring that all IT systems are maintained to the highest standard, enabling seamless learning and administrative operations across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain all IT systems, hardware, and software across the school.
  • Provide technical support to staff and students, resolving issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the school’s IT infrastructure and data.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems, networks, and peripherals.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement technology solutions that support teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and report on IT usage, performance, and maintenance requirements.
  • Keep up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in school IT management.
  • Support the roll-out of new IT initiatives and training as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant qualifications in IT or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT support within an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with staff, students, and external vendors.

Preferred

  • Experience with managing IT systems in a large or expanding school environment.
  • Familiarity with educational software and learning platforms.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
  • Experience with cloud-based services and remote support tools.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of £27,825 - £30,134 per annum.
