As a Science Faculty Leader, you will play a key role in shaping the academic direction of the Science Faculty. You will lead a small team and teach to both GCSE and A level, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a small team of science teachers to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons to both GCSE and A level students.
- Develop and implement strategies to raise academic standards in the Science Faculty.
- Stay up to date with the latest teaching and learning best practices.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through pastoral and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to support student progress and achievement.
- Monitor and assess student performance to inform teaching and learning strategies.
- Promote a culture of continuous professional development within the Science Faculty.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Extensive subject knowledge in either Physics or Chemistry.
- Experience of leading a small team of teachers.
- Proven ability to teach to both GCSE and A level.
- Strong understanding of current teaching and learning best practices.
- Commitment to developing academic standards and contributing to school life.
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation.
- Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Experience in a co-educational environment.
