The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher and KS3 Curriculum Coordinator to join a successful and forward-thinking faculty. This role offers the opportunity to shape the curriculum and inspire students, while contributing to a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons to students across Key Stages 2 and 3
  • Coordinate and lead the development of the KS3 Science curriculum
  • Work closely with other teachers and subject leaders to ensure consistent delivery of the curriculum
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed
  • Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to staff training
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and student success
  • Support the school’s mission to develop confident, articulate young adults with a lifelong love of learning
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Science education
  • Experience in curriculum development and coordination
  • Strong knowledge of Science and the National Curriculum
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to student achievement and professional development
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred

  • Experience in KS3 curriculum leadership
  • Experience with assessment and data analysis
  • Experience in a school with a strong focus on student wellbeing
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Experience in a large, comprehensive school setting
