The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher and KS3 Curriculum Coordinator to join a successful and forward-thinking faculty. This role offers the opportunity to shape the curriculum and inspire students, while contributing to a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons to students across Key Stages 2 and 3
- Coordinate and lead the development of the KS3 Science curriculum
- Work closely with other teachers and subject leaders to ensure consistent delivery of the curriculum
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed
- Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to staff training
- Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and student success
- Support the school’s mission to develop confident, articulate young adults with a lifelong love of learning
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Science education
- Experience in curriculum development and coordination
- Strong knowledge of Science and the National Curriculum
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to student achievement and professional development
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred
- Experience in KS3 curriculum leadership
- Experience with assessment and data analysis
- Experience in a school with a strong focus on student wellbeing
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
- Experience in a large, comprehensive school setting
