Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages, ensuring student engagement and progress.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student learning and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science curriculum and share best practices.
- Provide pastoral care and support to students, promoting a positive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and wider school initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate new ideas into teaching.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant Science subject knowledge (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
- Experience teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student achievement and continuous professional development.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience teaching A-level Science subjects.
- Experience with inclusion and differentiated instruction.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support.
- Experience with curriculum development and leadership within a department.
