The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across KS3-5 in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that promote student achievement and interest in science.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science faculty and support the school’s commitment to separate sciences.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of extracurricular science activities and events.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through pastoral care, staff meetings, and professional development.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attainment.
  • Support the school’s mission to provide a stimulating and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Science across KS3-5.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and inspire students in science.
  • Experience working in a team and contributing to faculty development.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Experience in leading or supporting curriculum development in Science.
  • Experience with international education or language learning.
  • Familiarity with the use of digital tools and resources in teaching.
