Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Biology according to departmental schemes of work and school curriculum requirements
- Prepare and deliver well-structured, engaging, and effective lessons that meet the needs of all students
- Manage classroom discipline and ensure a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments
- Communicate with parents and colleagues regarding student progress, behaviour, and academic needs
- Participate in departmental meetings, planning sessions, and the development of teaching resources
- Support the Head of Department with exam preparation, scheme of work development, and curriculum implementation
- Attend and contribute to professional development, staff training, and INSET programmes
- Uphold and implement the school's policies, including those related to safeguarding, SEN, and home-school communication
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor of Education or a subject degree plus PGCE
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of teaching experience
- In-depth knowledge of Biology and science education
- Fluency in English

- Ability to assess and support student interests and academic development
- Experience in curriculum design and delivery
