Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective science lessons to students of all abilities.
  • Support the development of students’ knowledge and skills in line with the school’s academic and leadership goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create innovative and inclusive learning experiences.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure outstanding attainment and achievement.
  • Participate in the school’s leadership programme and contribute to the development of students’ character and social action.
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and motivating learning environment for all students.
  • Stay up to date with developments in science education and incorporate best practices into teaching.
  • Support extracurricular activities and initiatives that align with the school’s mission and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • The ability to teach to GCSE standard.
  • Experience of delivering outstanding attainment and achievement.
  • Experience of innovation and creativity in engaging and progressing learners.

Preferred

  • Experience of working in a school with a leadership specialism.
  • Experience of teaching in a faith-based or inclusive educational setting.
  • Experience of working with disadvantaged students or in a high-performing school environment.
