The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Science Teacher - Chemistry/Physics to join a successful and innovative Science department. The role involves teaching across key stages and contributing to a school that consistently achieves high academic outcomes and fosters a culture of excellence and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Science across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including Chemistry and Physics.
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire student curiosity and achievement.
- Support the school’s commitment to academic success for all students, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Science department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the Science curriculum.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives that promote inclusion, diversity, and student well-being.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Science, specifically Chemistry and Physics.
- Experience teaching Science at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student success and inclusive education.
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a supportive school culture.
Preferred
- Experience working in a Performing and Visual Arts school or similar environment.
- Previous experience with disadvantaged students or in a diverse educational setting.
- Experience with assessment and tracking student progress.
- Interest in or experience with anti-racist education and inclusion initiatives.
