The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Science Teacher - Chemistry/Physics to join a successful and innovative Science department. The role involves teaching across key stages and contributing to a school that consistently achieves high academic outcomes and fosters a culture of excellence and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including Chemistry and Physics.
  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire student curiosity and achievement.
  • Support the school’s commitment to academic success for all students, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Science department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the Science curriculum.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives that promote inclusion, diversity, and student well-being.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Science, specifically Chemistry and Physics.
  • Experience teaching Science at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student success and inclusive education.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a supportive school culture.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a Performing and Visual Arts school or similar environment.
  • Previous experience with disadvantaged students or in a diverse educational setting.
  • Experience with assessment and tracking student progress.
  • Interest in or experience with anti-racist education and inclusion initiatives.
