Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science to students from Years 7 to 11, with the potential to teach across all phases.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that align with current curriculum and GCSE requirements.
  • Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Science Department to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and support the school’s commitment to a well-rounded education.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour for learning and ensure the safety and well-being of students.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Science education and integrate new technologies into the classroom.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A strong academic background in Science or a related discipline.
  • Qualified teacher status or equivalent.
  • Experience in teaching Science at secondary level.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Science curriculum and GCSE requirements.
  • Commitment to the school’s values of nurturing, challenging, and inspiring learners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching across all phases of education.
  • Familiarity with AQA Science Trilogy and Triple Science GCSE courses.
  • Experience with behaviour management and safeguarding.
  • Ability to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
  • Experience in using technology to enhance learning.
