The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a high-achieving team. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to raising student achievement and making a meaningful impact in the classroom. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality Science education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to students aged 11–16.
  • Support students in achieving excellent GCSE results through innovative and interactive teaching methods.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement Science curricula and schemes of work.
  • Provide individualised support and pastoral care to students as needed.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, using data to inform teaching and learning.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and events.
  • Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and guardians.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Proven experience in teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to student achievement and pastoral care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a Catholic school or similar educational setting.
  • Familiarity with Visual Arts and cross-curricular teaching.
  • Experience with using technology in the classroom.
  • Leadership experience or willingness to take on a mentoring role.
