The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a high-achieving team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality Science education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to students aged 11–16.
- Support students in achieving excellent GCSE results through innovative and interactive teaching methods.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement Science curricula and schemes of work.
- Provide individualised support and pastoral care to students as needed.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, using data to inform teaching and learning.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and events.
- Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and guardians.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Proven experience in teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to student achievement and pastoral care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a Catholic school or similar educational setting.
- Familiarity with Visual Arts and cross-curricular teaching.
- Experience with using technology in the classroom.
- Leadership experience or willingness to take on a mentoring role.
