The Opportunity:

A Science Teacher is needed to deliver engaging lessons in Chemistry and across the secondary curriculum, including Cambridge IGCSE and IB Diploma Programmes. This role offers the chance to shape the future of young learners in a dynamic and international setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science, with a focus on Chemistry, across secondary years including Cambridge IGCSE and IB Diploma Programmes.
  • Develop and implement engaging, student-centered curriculum and instructional methods.
  • Deliver lessons that align with international standards and promote critical thinking and scientific inquiry.
  • Act as a homeroom teacher for one secondary class, including pastoral care and participation in a stay away trip annually.
  • Support students in their academic and personal development through mentorship and guidance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
  • Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with scientific advancements and incorporate them into teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with significant experience teaching Science, particularly Chemistry.
  • Experience teaching in the Cambridge IGCSE and IB Diploma Programmes.
  • Strong commitment to student development and international education.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching Business Management in English.
  • Experience in a pastoral role or homeroom teaching.
  • Fluency in a second language, particularly German or French.
  • Familiarity with Hessen curriculum and international educational standards.
