Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
- Develop and implement a stimulating and innovative Science curriculum.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continued academic success.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the school’s Catholic ethos and values.
- Provide pastoral care and support to students as part of a strong, stable staff team.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to staff training.
- Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and guardians.
- Stay up to date with Science education trends and incorporate new teaching methods into lessons.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant Science subject specialism.
- Proven experience in teaching Science at the secondary level.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to the school’s Catholic ethos and values.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering Science curriculum materials that align with national standards.
- Familiarity with Ofsted inspection processes and outcomes.
- Experience in leading or contributing to staff development initiatives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
