Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement a stimulating and innovative Science curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continued academic success.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the school’s Catholic ethos and values.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students as part of a strong, stable staff team.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to staff training.
  • Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and guardians.
  • Stay up to date with Science education trends and incorporate new teaching methods into lessons.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant Science subject specialism.
  • Proven experience in teaching Science at the secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s Catholic ethos and values.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering Science curriculum materials that align with national standards.
  • Familiarity with Ofsted inspection processes and outcomes.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to staff development initiatives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
