Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective science lessons that meet GCSE standards and promote a love of learning.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that enhance student achievement and engagement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support to ensure all pupils reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s academic offering.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of the school’s leadership programme, which aims to develop pupils’ character and social responsibility.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.

  • Engage with parents and the wider community to build strong partnerships that support student success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience of delivering high-quality science teaching to GCSE standard.
  • Demonstrable track record of improving student outcomes and achieving positive results.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and implementing leadership initiatives within the classroom.
  • Background in innovation and creativity in science education.
  • Experience working in a school with a leadership specialism.
