Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage students and promote deep understanding.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student learning and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to the development of Science provision across the school.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
  • Support the school’s commitment to student behaviour and learning through the Behaviour for Learning policy.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the school’s ongoing improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Science.
  • Proven experience in teaching Science at the appropriate level.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering Science to a range of abilities.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and resources.
  • Experience in a school undergoing improvement or transformation.
