Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver imaginative, hands-on Science lessons that ignite curiosity and build confidence in students.
- Adapt learning to meet diverse needs, ensuring every student feels valued and capable.
- Collaborate with a passionate team to design and deliver impactful SEND provision.
- Coordinate support staff, monitor progress, and champion best practices across the school.
- Work with external specialists and lead staff training to maintain exceptional SEND provision.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students and colleagues.
- Ensure lessons are aligned with current SEND practices, curriculum adaptations, and legislation.
- Support students with autism, ADHD, or challenging behavior through tailored teaching strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong background in Science teaching, ideally with SEND/SEMH experience
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding, engaging lessons
- Experience working with young people with autism, ADHD, or challenging behavior
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships
- Full UK Driving Licence
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum adaptations and SEND legislation
- Background in leading staff training or working with external specialists
- Knowledge of neurodivergent education approaches
