Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver imaginative, hands-on Science lessons that ignite curiosity and build confidence in students.
  • Adapt learning to meet diverse needs, ensuring every student feels valued and capable.
  • Collaborate with a passionate team to design and deliver impactful SEND provision.
  • Coordinate support staff, monitor progress, and champion best practices across the school.
  • Work with external specialists and lead staff training to maintain exceptional SEND provision.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Ensure lessons are aligned with current SEND practices, curriculum adaptations, and legislation.
  • Support students with autism, ADHD, or challenging behavior through tailored teaching strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong background in Science teaching, ideally with SEND/SEMH experience
  • Proven ability to deliver outstanding, engaging lessons
  • Experience working with young people with autism, ADHD, or challenging behavior
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum adaptations and SEND legislation
  • Background in leading staff training or working with external specialists
  • Knowledge of neurodivergent education approaches
