Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support the learning needs of all students, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Maintain high standards of behavior and classroom management to ensure a disruption-free learning environment.
- Participate in whole-school CPD initiatives and contribute to the sharing of best practices.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve student outcomes and support the school’s ongoing development.
- Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate and in line with school policies.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, using data to inform teaching and learning.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of extracurricular Science activities and events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Strong subject knowledge in Science.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds, including disadvantaged and vulnerable groups.
- Ability to deliver high-quality lessons that promote student engagement and achievement.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a strong focus on continuous improvement and Ofsted success.
- Experience with flexible working arrangements and whole-school CPD.
- Experience in managing behavior and maintaining a positive classroom environment.
- Experience with alternative provision or pastoral support.
