Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective science lessons across all key stages.
- Support the department in achieving outstanding student outcomes and academic success.
- Continuously improve teaching and learning practices through the use of IRIS and regular feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement strategies for departmental improvement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
- Maintain accurate records and assessments to monitor student progress.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the ongoing development of the science curriculum.
- Engage with students and parents to support their learning and personal development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Science Teacher with relevant experience.
- Strong subject knowledge in Science and the ability to teach across key stages.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and improvement in teaching practice.
- Experience in using IRIS and other performance management tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a similar ethos and values.
- Experience in delivering high-impact teaching and learning strategies.
- Background in a school with a strong focus on pastoral care and student well-being.
- Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
- Experience in a school with a proven track record of outstanding Ofsted ratings.
