The Opportunity:

As a Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring and educating students from Key Stage 3 through to A Level. This is an excellent opportunity for both early-career and experienced teachers to contribute to a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science at Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A Level with a focus on student engagement and academic achievement.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality lessons that align with curriculum requirements and promote a love of learning.
  • Support the school’s ethos by fostering respect, aspiration, and empowerment among students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning across the department.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their goals.
  • Participate in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and community events.
  • Contribute to the development of departmental policies and strategies to improve student outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and qualified teacher status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A Level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s values of respect, aspiration, and empowerment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.

Preferred

  • Experience in inclusion and equality in the classroom.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience within a school setting.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and learning platforms.
  • Experience with continuous professional development (CPD) and teacher training.
