The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our thriving Science Department. This role offers the opportunity to inspire and educate students across Key Stages 3-4, with a focus on achieving outstanding results in Science. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and contributing to the school’s continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons to Key Stages 3-4, ensuring students achieve excellent results.
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies that support student learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science curriculum and share best practices.
  • Participate in the school’s research-informed Professional Development (PD) programme.
  • Support students in developing a deep understanding of Science concepts and skills.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and pastoral support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Science education at Key Stages 3-4.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Science, with a preference for Chemistry.
  • Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality teaching and learning outcomes.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Experience in working with students with diverse learning needs.
  • Leadership experience or involvement in curriculum development.
  • Familiarity with the national curriculum of England and Wales.
