The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic Science Department at a high-performing school dedicated to inspiring the next generation of scientists. As a Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, and fostering a love of scientific discovery among students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in your Science specialism that inspire and engage students across varying ability levels.
  • Foster curiosity and scientific literacy through experimental, inquiry-based learning.
  • Assess, record, and report on student progress, using data to inform teaching and differentiation.
  • Maintain an inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners and promotes academic excellence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Science Department to develop innovative schemes of work and share best practice.
  • Communicate effectively with parents to provide regular updates on student progress and achievement.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, professional development opportunities, and co-curricular activities.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through events, competitions, and science enrichment opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or a related field, with specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, plus a recognised teaching qualification/licence (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Strong subject knowledge within your area of specialism.
  • Proficiency with ICT and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching in an international or culturally diverse setting.
  • Minimum of two years’ teaching experience, ideally within the National Curriculum for England.
