Science Teacher needed for an IB World School in Dubai with a focus on student success and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science subjects to students across various grade levels, using innovative and engaging teaching methods.
  • Support students in developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific inquiry skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement curriculum that aligns with IB frameworks and learning objectives.
  • Provide individualized support to students, fostering a caring and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching practices and student learning outcomes.
  • Participate in professional development activities and share best practices with the teaching community.
  • Engage in curriculum review and development to ensure alignment with the school's educational goals and standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Bachelor of Education degree or an initial degree with a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
  • A minimum of 3 years experience teaching Secondary Science, ideally within an IB curriculum school.
  • Strong understanding of the IB MYP & DP framework and Approaches to Teaching.
  • A genuine passion for working in a non-selective, culturally diverse community.
  • Commitment to the IB Learner Profile and the school's values.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching the IB Middle Years Programmes & Diploma Programmes.
  • Advanced qualifications in Science or Education.
  • A strong desire to continually improve teaching practice and deliver outstanding learning experiences.
  • Alignment with the school's mission and vision of fostering global citizenship and intercultural understanding.
