Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, inquiry-based science lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes student success and well-being.
  • Plan and implement rich, engaging learning experiences aligned with the IB curriculum and student needs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress using a variety of assessment strategies to support learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and maintain a cohesive, spirited, and professional teaching community.
  • Engage with parents and students to support learning and build positive relationships.
  • Participate in school events and contribute to the development of the school’s educational vision.
  • Stay up to date with best practices in science education and continuously improve teaching methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelors degree in a Science discipline or similar, with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years of teaching experience in a reputable school.
  • Experience in IB or GCSE subject-specific teaching.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of outstanding student results and outcomes.
  • Proficient/advanced-level English language skills.
  • Commitment to developing international-mindedness and student-centered learning.

Preferred

  • Experience with the IB programme.
  • Knowledge of assessment strategies and their use in the classroom.
  • Inter-cultural awareness and enthusiasm for working with diverse communities.
  • Experience in developing and leading community events.
