Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, inquiry-based science lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes student success and well-being.
- Plan and implement rich, engaging learning experiences aligned with the IB curriculum and student needs.
- Monitor and assess student progress using a variety of assessment strategies to support learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and maintain a cohesive, spirited, and professional teaching community.
- Engage with parents and students to support learning and build positive relationships.
- Participate in school events and contribute to the development of the school’s educational vision.
- Stay up to date with best practices in science education and continuously improve teaching methods.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelors degree in a Science discipline or similar, with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience in a reputable school.
- Experience in IB or GCSE subject-specific teaching.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated track record of outstanding student results and outcomes.
- Proficient/advanced-level English language skills.
- Commitment to developing international-mindedness and student-centered learning.
Preferred
- Experience with the IB programme.
- Knowledge of assessment strategies and their use in the classroom.
- Inter-cultural awareness and enthusiasm for working with diverse communities.
- Experience in developing and leading community events.
