The Opportunity:
As a Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality science education to students at KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to specialise in one area of science. You will be part of a supportive and ambitious team dedicated to inspiring students and fostering a love of learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach science across the full range of KS3 and KS4 curricula
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that promote student progress and achievement
- Develop and implement inclusive teaching strategies that support all learners
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed
- Contribute to the wider science department and school initiatives
- Participate in professional development and co-planning sessions
- Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and colleagues
- Support the school’s vision of developing confident, compassionate, and academically successful students
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in science education
- Ability to teach across the full range of science subjects at KS3 and KS4
- Demonstrated success in raising student achievement and engagement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to inclusive teaching and learning
- Experience in assessment, monitoring, and evaluation of student progress
Preferred
- Specialism in one area of science
- Experience in leading or contributing to whole-school initiatives
- Experience with Continuing Professional Development
- Experience in middle leadership or similar roles
