The Opportunity:

As a Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality science education to students at KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to specialise in one area of science. You will be part of a supportive and ambitious team dedicated to inspiring students and fostering a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach science across the full range of KS3 and KS4 curricula
  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that promote student progress and achievement
  • Develop and implement inclusive teaching strategies that support all learners
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed
  • Contribute to the wider science department and school initiatives
  • Participate in professional development and co-planning sessions
  • Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Support the school’s vision of developing confident, compassionate, and academically successful students

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in science education
  • Ability to teach across the full range of science subjects at KS3 and KS4
  • Demonstrated success in raising student achievement and engagement
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to inclusive teaching and learning
  • Experience in assessment, monitoring, and evaluation of student progress

Preferred

  • Specialism in one area of science
  • Experience in leading or contributing to whole-school initiatives
  • Experience with Continuing Professional Development
  • Experience in middle leadership or similar roles
