The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and highly motivated Science Teacher to join our successful and innovative department. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of students, while working in a school that consistently delivers outstanding results in science education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality science teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to teach A-level Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
  • Support student progress and attainment through innovative and engaging teaching methods.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the school’s successful STEM programme and enrichment activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance science education and align teaching approaches across departments.
  • Participate in professional learning and development opportunities within the school and wider education partnership.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students in line with the school’s safeguarding policies.
  • Engage in external projects and partnerships, such as those with The Ogden Trust and UCL.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Experience in teaching science across the ability range at KS3 and KS4.
  • Ability to teach at least one A-level subject in Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
  • Commitment to student progress and attainment in science education.

Preferred

  • Experience in STEM enrichment and outreach activities.
  • Involvement in external educational projects or partnerships.
  • Strong track record in student engagement and achievement.
  • Experience with assessment and curriculum development in science.
