As a Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring students through engaging and meaningful Science lessons. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons tailored to small groups and individual learning needs.
  • Adapt teaching methods to support students with social, emotional, and special educational needs.
  • Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and positive behaviour.
  • Use practical and creative approaches to enhance student understanding and enjoyment of Science.
  • Assess and provide regular feedback to monitor and support student progress.
  • Report on student progress to senior leadership, parents, and local authorities as required.
  • Contribute to the development of an inclusive and inspiring Science curriculum.
  • Support students through enrichment activities, trips, and STEM-related projects.
  • Provide pastoral support as a form tutor and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, including SENCO and support staff, to ensure student success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and strong subject knowledge in Science.
  • Experience in teaching Science at GCSE and A-Level.
  • Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the needs of students with SEN/SEMH.

Preferred

  • Experience in a therapeutic or specialist educational setting.
  • Commitment to supporting a nurturing and inclusive school ethos.
  • Experience with pastoral care and form tutoring.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
