The Opportunity:
Join a dynamic and experienced Science Faculty as a Science Teacher. This role offers the chance to inspire and challenge students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, while working within a collaborative and supportive team. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving academic success and fostering a love of Science in students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging Science lessons that challenge and motivate students.
- Support the Science department in achieving positive student outcomes at all key stages.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices.
- Encourage student engagement and creativity through innovative teaching methods.
- Contribute to the ongoing professional development of the Science Faculty.
- Work closely with the Head of Faculty and leadership team to implement departmental strategies.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
- Participate in extracurricular Science activities and events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Science education.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to promoting student achievement and positive outcomes.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Experience in delivering Science at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental development.
- Familiarity with the ACED teaching and learning framework.
- Experience with pastoral systems and student support.
- Background in promoting student well-being and mental health.
- Previous involvement in extracurricular Science activities.
