The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic and experienced Science Faculty as a Science Teacher. This role offers the chance to inspire and challenge students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, while working within a collaborative and supportive team. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving academic success and fostering a love of Science in students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging Science lessons that challenge and motivate students.
  • Support the Science department in achieving positive student outcomes at all key stages.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices.
  • Encourage student engagement and creativity through innovative teaching methods.
  • Contribute to the ongoing professional development of the Science Faculty.
  • Work closely with the Head of Faculty and leadership team to implement departmental strategies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Participate in extracurricular Science activities and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Science education.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to promoting student achievement and positive outcomes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Experience in delivering Science at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental development.
  • Familiarity with the ACED teaching and learning framework.
  • Experience with pastoral systems and student support.
  • Background in promoting student well-being and mental health.
  • Previous involvement in extracurricular Science activities.
