The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic Science Faculty at a school with a strong commitment to academic excellence. As a Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring and educating students across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5, contributing to a culture of high achievement and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the school’s schemes of learning.
  • Ensure a clear understanding of student needs, including prior learning and special educational requirements.
  • Set high expectations for student achievement and behaviour.
  • Implement effective marking, assessment, and reporting procedures in accordance with school policies.
  • Support progression and continuity across key stages.
  • Fulfil a pastoral role as a tutor, including safeguarding, student guidance, and communication with parents.
  • Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular and personal development programmes.
  • Engage in professional development and support the growth of colleagues through collaboration and mentorship.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Degree in a relevant science subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience in teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality learning experiences and student achievement.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching at Key Stage 5.
  • Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a strong desire to develop and grow.
  • Experience with innovative teaching and learning strategies.
  • Strong track record of successful examination outcomes.
