The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the school’s schemes of learning.
- Ensure a clear understanding of student needs, including prior learning and special educational requirements.
- Set high expectations for student achievement and behaviour.
- Implement effective marking, assessment, and reporting procedures in accordance with school policies.
- Support progression and continuity across key stages.
- Fulfil a pastoral role as a tutor, including safeguarding, student guidance, and communication with parents.
- Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular and personal development programmes.
- Engage in professional development and support the growth of colleagues through collaboration and mentorship.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Degree in a relevant science subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience in teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Commitment to providing high-quality learning experiences and student achievement.
Preferred
- Experience teaching at Key Stage 5.
- Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a strong desire to develop and grow.
- Experience with innovative teaching and learning strategies.
- Strong track record of successful examination outcomes.
