Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality science lessons that engage and challenge students
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student achievement
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support departmental goals
- Participate in the planning and delivery of extracurricular science activities
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning
- Support the school’s mission by contributing to a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Provide pastoral care and support to students as needed
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant science subject knowledge
- Experience in teaching science at the secondary level
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred
- Experience in delivering science education to 11-16 year olds
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment
- Previous involvement in teacher training or professional development
- Familiarity with the Pioneers Partnership SCITT program
