Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective science lessons to students aged 11 to 16.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets GCSE standards and promotes student achievement.
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized learning and assessment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching methods.
  • Participate in the school’s leadership programme and contribute to student development beyond the classroom.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing regular feedback and guidance.
  • Stay up to date with developments in science education and integrate innovative teaching approaches.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven ability to teach science to GCSE standard.
  • Experience in delivering outstanding attainment and achievement in a school setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students effectively.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to a leadership programme within a school.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and technology integration.
  • Commitment to working in a disadvantaged community and making a positive impact on student lives.
