Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Develop innovative and inclusive teaching strategies to support diverse learners.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science curriculum and cross-subject links.
  • Participate in professional development and support the school’s PRIDE values.
  • Maintain a safe and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Provide pastoral support and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Science education and curriculum changes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Science subject knowledge.
  • Experience in teaching Science at secondary level.
  • Commitment to student welfare and inclusive education.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-academy trust.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development or leadership roles.
  • Background in promoting student creativity and leadership.
  • Familiarity with the CAS programme or similar initiatives.
  • Experience in providing pastoral support to students.
  • Strong track record in student achievement and engagement.
