The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Science Teacher to join a high-performing, forward-thinking department. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a rigorous academic curriculum and support students in achieving positive outcomes at both GCSE and A-Level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons across Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- Collaborate with the Director of Science and departmental colleagues to drive attainment and standards.
- Support students in achieving positive outcomes through a clear and structured curriculum.
- Participate in collaborative planning and share resources with the wider Science team.
- Contribute to the development of shared units of work and resources.
- Engage in continuous professional development aligned with national research and best practices.
- Assist with additional responsibilities as opportunities arise.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Science Teacher with experience in Physics, Chemistry, or Biology.
- Commitment to delivering a rigorous academic curriculum.
- Experience in teaching at both GCSE and A-Level.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a collaborative teaching environment.
- Familiarity with whole-class feedback and non-onerous marking policies.
- Experience with centralised homework and detention systems.
- Background in continuous professional development and leadership opportunities.
