The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Science Teacher to join a high-performing, forward-thinking department. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a rigorous academic curriculum and support students in achieving positive outcomes at both GCSE and A-Level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons across Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Science and departmental colleagues to drive attainment and standards.
  • Support students in achieving positive outcomes through a clear and structured curriculum.
  • Participate in collaborative planning and share resources with the wider Science team.
  • Contribute to the development of shared units of work and resources.
  • Engage in continuous professional development aligned with national research and best practices.
  • Assist with additional responsibilities as opportunities arise.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Science Teacher with experience in Physics, Chemistry, or Biology.
  • Commitment to delivering a rigorous academic curriculum.
  • Experience in teaching at both GCSE and A-Level.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a collaborative teaching environment.
  • Familiarity with whole-class feedback and non-onerous marking policies.
  • Experience with centralised homework and detention systems.
  • Background in continuous professional development and leadership opportunities.
