The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons to students from Year 7 to Year 13
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching strategies
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and support professional development
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking
  • Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate new teaching methods
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized learning and pastoral care
  • Contribute to the school’s wider community through extracurricular activities and events

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Science or a related field
  • Proven experience in teaching Science at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach across Key Stages 3 to 5
  • Commitment to student achievement, personal development, and wellbeing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Experience with early career teacher support or induction programs
  • Familiarity with Science curriculum developments and teaching innovations
  • Experience with teaching English as a second language or working with diverse student groups
  • Leadership experience or a willingness to take on additional responsibilities
