Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality science education at KS3, 4, and 5, including GCSE and A Level courses.
  • Develop and implement an innovative and engaging science curriculum that promotes curiosity and scientific inquiry.
  • Support student progress through differentiated instruction and targeted interventions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance departmental performance.
  • Monitor and assess student learning effectively, providing constructive feedback to support development.
  • Participate in the school’s professional development programme and contribute to staff training.
  • Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community.
  • Contribute to the school’s commitment to character education and student well-being.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Science Teacher with relevant experience in delivering science at KS3, 4, and 5.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student progress and achievement.
  • Experience in working within a school with high expectations and a supportive culture.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching combined and individual science pathways.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technology in science education.
  • Experience with character education and whole-school development initiatives.
  • Leadership experience or willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
