The Opportunity:
We are seeking passionate, creative, and adaptive science teachers to join our growing teaching team. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced science teachers ready to deliver meaningful, high-impact learning to classes of up to 16 students. Based in our Head Office in Sheffield, you will work with a team of like-minded educators to plan and deliver engaging online science lessons for students to access both live and independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and interactive live online science lessons to small groups (up to 16 students) at KS3 / KS4 level.
- Plan and create immersive, engaging science lessons that cater to students’ diverse learning styles.
- Utilise a variety of online teaching tools to enhance student learning and support learners.
- Monitor student progress to provide constructive, effective feedback to support development in science.
- Develop original and engaging educational content, to film onsite or on-location with the videography team.
- Collaborate with the Head of Curriculum to ensure alignment with curriculum objectives and creation of e-learning tasks.
- Demonstrate proficiency in adapting to using the online teaching platform to deliver lessons and track engagement.
- Build positive and supportive relationships with students online and provide individualised support to address specific learning needs.
- Maintain a high regard for the safeguarding of all pupils, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in online teaching or a strong understanding of online learning principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially within live online environments.
- Strong technological proficiency with the ability to adapt to the online teaching platform.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to create engaging, fun and original educational content.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and delivering creative and engaging lessons online.
- Experience in creating e-learning materials.
- Experience supporting students with additional needs or barriers to learning.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Set working hours of 8am – 4.30pm with zero expectation to complete work outside of these times.
- 20 days of annual leave, 5 days of annual leave at Christmas, plus 8 bank holidays (FT).
- Flexible working options, permanent full time and part time contracts available, including term-time only.
