The Opportunity:

As a Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping young minds and delivering a high-quality, international education. You will teach across multiple grade levels and contribute to a new campus with state-of-the-art facilities and a forward-thinking approach to science and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach science across Grades 8-12, following the Cambridge Pathway and IGCSE curriculum.
  • Support syllabus planning and development for science subjects.
  • Ensure labs are equipped with appropriate resources and materials.
  • Collaborate with the Learning Support department to meet student needs.
  • Recommend and source teaching resources as required.
  • Act as a pastoral tutor for a group of students, supporting their academic and personal development.
  • Participate in and contribute to the school’s co-curricular activities and events.
  • Supervise boarders for one evening per week.
  • Support the Admissions department when needed.
  • Perform other duties as required by the school leadership.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in science education.
  • Ability to teach to IGCSE in at least two areas of science.
  • Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.
  • Flexibility to teach across different grade levels.

Preferred

  • Experience with A Level science teaching.
  • Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum and international education standards.
  • Experience in a co-curricular or extracurricular setting.
  • Knowledge of modern science and technology, such as robotics and space studies.
