Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons that inspire and engage students.
- Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to support their learning and progress.
- Communicate with parents to support student learning and development at home.
- Act as a form tutor and deliver the PSHE programme effectively.
- Participate in and contribute to departmental initiatives and extra-curricular activities.
- Support the continuous improvement of Science teaching and learning across the school.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and innovative teaching strategies.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant Science qualification.
- Experience in teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to the school’s values of respect, resilience, and responsibility.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to extra-curricular Science activities.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL).
- Experience in working with ECTs or in a leadership role within a department.
- Familiarity with educational research and evidence-based teaching methods.
