Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that enhance student learning and outcomes.

  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of the Science curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all students.

  • Work closely with pastoral staff to support student well-being and academic success.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities related to Science.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Science subject knowledge.
  • Experience in teaching Science at secondary level.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-informed teaching practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Experience in mentoring or supporting early career teachers.
  • Familiarity with the National Teaching School framework.
