The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our team and contribute to the academic success and personal development of students aged 11-16. This role is ideal for both new and experienced educators looking to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons across the full age range (11-16) to inspire and engage students.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and a love of learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress through regular formative and summative assessments.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver a well-structured and challenging curriculum.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
  • Support student wellbeing and personal development through pastoral care and extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Science subject knowledge.
  • Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4 (GCSE level).
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with STEM initiatives or extracurricular Science clubs.
  • Familiarity with Ofsted standards and school improvement processes.
  • Experience in Initial Teacher Training or Continuing Professional Development (CPD) delivery.
  • Flexibility to work with a range of students and support their individual learning needs.
