The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our team and contribute to the academic success and personal development of students aged 11-16. This role is ideal for both new and experienced educators looking to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons across the full age range (11-16) to inspire and engage students.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and a love of learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress through regular formative and summative assessments.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver a well-structured and challenging curriculum.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
- Support student wellbeing and personal development through pastoral care and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant Science subject knowledge.
- Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4 (GCSE level).
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with STEM initiatives or extracurricular Science clubs.
- Familiarity with Ofsted standards and school improvement processes.
- Experience in Initial Teacher Training or Continuing Professional Development (CPD) delivery.
- Flexibility to work with a range of students and support their individual learning needs.
