The Opportunity:

A Science Teacher - Maternity Cover is required to join a thriving and highly successful Science Faculty. This role offers the chance to inspire students, contribute to a dynamic department, and take part in a wide range of academic and extracurricular activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach Science across all key stages, including A Level if desired.
Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that promote a lifelong love of learning.
Contribute to the development and delivery of the Science curriculum.
Participate in extracurricular activities, including Science Olympiads and enrichment events.
Support the wider school community through collaboration and leadership opportunities.
Work closely with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
Take on subject leadership responsibilities where applicable.
Promote inclusivity and diversity in the classroom and across the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

Qualified teacher with relevant Science subject knowledge.
Experience teaching Science at key stages 3 and 4, with the ability to teach A Level if desired.
Commitment to student achievement and a passion for Science education.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

Experience in subject leadership or curriculum development.
Involvement in extracurricular Science activities or clubs.
Experience with innovative teaching methods or technology in Science education.
Background in promoting diversity and inclusion in Science.
