The Opportunity:

A Science Teacher - Maternity Cover is required to join a thriving and highly successful Science Faculty. This role offers the chance to inspire students, contribute to a dynamic department, and take part in a wide range of academic and extracurricular activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science across all key stages, including A Level if desired.
  • Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that promote a lifelong love of learning.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the Science curriculum.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, including Science Olympiads and enrichment events.
  • Support the wider school community through collaboration and leadership opportunities.
  • Work closely with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Take on subject leadership responsibilities where applicable.
  • Promote inclusivity and diversity in the classroom and across the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Science subject knowledge.
  • Experience teaching Science at key stages 3 and 4, with the ability to teach A Level if desired.
  • Commitment to student achievement and a passion for Science education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in subject leadership or curriculum development.
  • Involvement in extracurricular Science activities or clubs.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods or technology in Science education.
  • Background in promoting diversity and inclusion in Science.
