The Opportunity:
A Science Teacher - Maternity Cover is required to join a thriving and highly successful Science Faculty. This role offers the chance to inspire students, contribute to a dynamic department, and take part in a wide range of academic and extracurricular activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Science across all key stages, including A Level if desired.
- Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that promote a lifelong love of learning.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the Science curriculum.
- Participate in extracurricular activities, including Science Olympiads and enrichment events.
- Support the wider school community through collaboration and leadership opportunities.
- Work closely with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
- Take on subject leadership responsibilities where applicable.
- Promote inclusivity and diversity in the classroom and across the school.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant Science subject knowledge.
- Experience teaching Science at key stages 3 and 4, with the ability to teach A Level if desired.
- Commitment to student achievement and a passion for Science education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in subject leadership or curriculum development.
- Involvement in extracurricular Science activities or clubs.
- Experience with innovative teaching methods or technology in Science education.
- Background in promoting diversity and inclusion in Science.
